FAQ's about registration for Births & Deaths

| Registration of Births&Deaths should be registered from the nearest Registration Unit only at the place of occurance.Registration can be done and certificate obtained free of cost if it is done within 21 days of occurrence.Delayed Registration can be entertained on payment of prescribed fees and procedures which is provided under Rule 9 of the Nagaland Registration of Births and Deaths(Amendment) Rules 1999 as under. |

| Beyond 30 days but within 1 year days | - |
Rs.5.00 (Late fee) with a wrtten permission from the District Registrar of Births & Deaths. |
| Beyond 1 year and above | - | Rs.10.00 (Late fee) with an order from a 1st class magistrate |
